Opis

Jan Kiliński (1760–1819) was a Warsaw master shoemaker, city councilor, and one of the leaders of the Warsaw Uprising in April 1794 during the Kościuszko Uprising. He led the townspeople in the fight against the Russian garrison.

His monument, sculpted by Stanisław Jackowski and unveiled in 1936, stands on Podwale Street at the foot of the Old Town walls.
