The museum gathers works of sacred and secular art from the churches of the Archdiocese of Warsaw. The collection includes paintings by Jan Matejko and Jacek Malczewski, Gothic wooden sculptures, and 19th-century liturgical vestments.

The headquarters is located at ul. Dziekania, right behind St. John's Archcathedral.
